Alvin Gonzalez, originally from South Texas, joined De Marillac Academy in the Fall of 2023. Alvin’s career in education began 10 years ago, and he has enjoyed supporting his students as an educator, mentor, and advisor.

During high school, his acceptance into a college access program for low-income students changed his life. He earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in English from Texas A&M International University, and he holds a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. As a first-generation graduate, he is driven to help students overcome their college barriers.
