Strategic Pillars

De Marillac Academy’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan highlights the importance of doing the “fundamentals” well, in fulfillment of our mission today and in preparation for longer-term success. 

Strategic Pillar 1:  Reinforce the Foundation

  1. Mission-Centered – Strengthen the expression of our Lasallian Vincentian Catholic identity.

  2. Prioritize Students, Graduates, and Families – Meaningfully demonstrate our commitment to current and future students, graduates, and families.

  3. Master the Basics – Re-prioritize actions that are essential for a successful 15-year journey from building academic, community, and life skills in middle school through support for post-secondary success and career readiness.  

  4. Evidence Based - Continue to evolve into a data-driven organization to inform planning, decision-making, execution, and evaluation, with a focus on fully leveraging Salesforce.   

  5. Mission Supported Facilities – Secure facilities that support De Marillac Academy’s short and longer-term priorities for academics, athletics, enrichment, and youth development.    

  6. Safety – Expand the vortex of safety outside the gates of De Marillac Academy through partnerships with neighborhood organizations.

  1. Organization - Refresh the staffing model to align with De Marillac Academy’s strategic and operational objectives and priorities.

  2. People – Attract, retain, and inspire people who are committed to the mission and are a “best fit” for the De Marillac Model, with a focus on sourcing, selection, onboarding, and professional development.           

  3. Employer of Choice – Become an employer of choice and meaningfully compete for the most talented people by providing a uniquely competitive compensation and benefits program and a highly rewarding community experience.    

Strategic Pillar 3 - Optimize Sustainable Solutions

  1. Telling the DMA Story – Refocus marketing, communication, and outreach programs, to emphasize connection with prospective students, parents, staff, as well as investors in De Marillac Academy’s mission.  

  2. Financial Growth – Increase giving by expanding the base of individual, foundation, and corporate support to meet the needs of current and future programming.  

  3. Partnerships – Cultivate partnerships that have the greatest potential to strengthen long-term sustainability.
