She has worked in education for over 6 years and continues to be inspired by the students, families, and colleagues she has met along her journey. She wishes to uphold the mission of De Marillac as she gets rooted in the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Ranelle was born and raised in a small población in the islands of Visayas, Philippines. At the age of 9, she immigrated to a suburb of Chicago with her sisters to join her parents. After high school, Ranelle was drawn to southern California where she received her Bachelor's degree in Studio Art at California State University Channel Islands. After graduation, she moved to the Bay Area to pursue her vocation for teaching. She received her Master's degree in Education through the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute in partnership with the University of the Pacific.

Ranelle currently resides in the Mission with her husband. She enjoys traveling, cooking, creating art, and exploring the great outdoors.
