Edward Espinoza, known as "Eddie", is a proud Central Valley native, and now a resident of San Francisco. Eddie is passionate about development and the power of education to "level the playing field". Along with being an alumnus of the Catholic schooling system and a first-generation college graduate, he is excited to join DMA and bring his own experience while spreading the mission of DMA to the community and beyond.
Eddie attended Pepperdine University in Southern California, where he fostered a love of service-based work through his experience working for Jumpstart for Young Children, an Americorps program. During his three years as a Jumpstart Corps Member, and later Team Leader, Eddie taught literacy and writing skills to preschoolers in neighborhoods across Los Angeles County. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science, with a focus in international relations.
On the weekends, you can find him running at Lake Merced, taking in a Giants game at Oracle Park, or enjoying a nice book at one of the many parks SF has to offer.
Eddie is also involved with his local parish St. Philip's, and teaches First Communion Catechism class at St. Dominic's.
